Our Mission
The Women Ending Poverty Coalition is a national initiative dedicated to elevating women’s leadership in the fight against poverty. We believe those closest to the problem are also closest to the solution. Women—especially those with lived experience—must be at the center of building a new, effective, and equitable poverty alleviation system.
Why Now?
Poverty in America is not gender-neutral:

1 in 3 single mothers live in poverty.

Women make up the majority of minimum-wage workers.

Women of color face the highest poverty rates.
And yet, despite their frontline roles as social workers, case managers, nurses, and caregivers, women are routinely excluded from decision-making spaces. We’re changing that
